"The “war” thing is totally apples-oranges though. He simply CANnot be there."

No, but the women make it through just fine, regardless of the reason for the absence.

I caught Hannity last night. I give him credit for stating that earning money to support the child trumps being present at the moment of birth.

Ainsley Earhardt was extremely irritating, though...before last night, she came across as pretty sensible and clearheaded. But she kept saying that Sherman should be at the hospital because, after all, he played in a Super Bowl last year, so this one shouldn’t matter.

They should at least move the game to Saturday night so revelers have a day to recover.

C of A thanks for clarifying that. Good for Hannity. I thought he might step in a pile on this one.

And BTW, good on you for really understanding the logic of the issue. This may sound sexist - and I do NOT mean it that way - but my lovely bride, who is very smart and not emotional, misses this one. You got it right! Ainsley did not.

I gave birth to five.

He belongs at “work”.

We women are tough-—She’ll manage just fine without him.

Thank you. I appreciate that.

I would have expected Hannity to take the other POV, as well...he surprised me.

That seems to be the modern term. In my day, this would have been a scandal and now it seems (sadly) fashionable.

I was helping a guy in his 60's reside a house. One of his grade-school teachers walked by on a near daily basis and would occasionally start a conversation. This guy is razor sharp, and he said that he'd visited the old school and said that there was hope for the future because the kids were so polite. Then he said he was stunned by the number of men that entered the building and didn't remove their caps. Had he known the rate of marriage of those kids' parents, he'd have stroked out.

I read somewhere that Richard is planning to propose after the Superbowl on the field.

He should have married her before now. If his kid has to put up with this lady for the next 18 years, so should Richard. The kid had no choice, but Richard was the one who picked her (as Judge Judy would say).

No surprise to me, Hannity has held that position going back to local talk show on WGST in Atlanta. I remember him saying that a father’s job was more important than seeing his child in sports, dance or music recitals, or other such events.
