It may indeed be safe to store nuclear waste at Yucca Mtn. I don't know. But the question that is being left out is if it can be safetly transported there from different locations throughout the country. Between our porous borders and the numerous Muslim sleeper cells, (not to mention all the Muslims that are freely allowed to come here), it wouldn't take much effort to hijack a transport of the nuclear waste and use it in a terrorist threat.

It shouldn't have to last a million years. It need hold the nuclear materials until a superior method of reprocessing it is devised.
