The measles outbreak continues to spread in California and beyond, with a case confirmed Wednesday in Fresno County. Fresno health officials say the man visited the area recently and may have had contact with county residents in public locations, including an area medical center and its maternity ward, potentially exposing babies to the extremely contagious disease.

The last reported case was in East Africa somewhere, back in the 70s.
It only survives in laboratories - somebody in England caught it in a lab later - most stocks have been destroyed (although I don't know if I trust the CDC given their foolishness over ebola . . . and who knows what the Russians are up to?)

Nope. Patient Zero spread it to around 100 people at Disneyland. Said people left Disneyland dispersing throughout the country spreading the disease. The disease is able to keep going because due to the Anti-Vaxers there is now in some areas, for example, many parts of CA, enough people not vaccinated to keep spreading the disease to each other.

Yes, I've walked around there quite a lot, run through there as well. Brazilian and Argentinean guests are pretty common during the holiday season. Less common for guests from Mexico. Far more common would be Asian guests who visit the parks for extended periods during that season.

Almost any on stage work is done with Disney employees. All contractors must submit for a security screening before being permitted within Disney's ward perimeter. They do verify the identity of every contractor or employee before they are permitted on property.
Very few on stage cast would have 'illegal relatives', and even fewer would be able to sign in a party for five straight days. Off stage cast would not be able to do that at all.
As for a cash wielding illegal who has just arrived bringing measles with them, and then spends 5 days at Disneyland? Seems pretty darn unlikely.
An international tourist staying off property is the most likely 'patient zero.' Which of course shows the effectiveness of our health screenings at the airports - you know, none.

It is easy to imagine a terrorist finding the grave of someone who died of smallpox, exhuming the body, infecting someone, perhaps himself, with the virus, and taking a tour of major world airports.
It is also easy to imagine the body of someone who died of smallpox becoming disinterred by some natural phenomenon, e.g. hurricane, earthquake, etc. Bodies in North Carolina were disinterred by one of the hurricanes in recent history.
Smallpox would sweep through an unvaccinated population fast.
