They are getting infected because loony American parents don’t get their kids vaccinated.
They in turn can be infected by an illegal Alien kid who may have measles.
It’s really the American parent’s fault for being psycho loony liberals.
The #’s of people opting out of or delaying vaccinations in the US has been decreasing year over year. It is just the media that keeps goosing the general public making it seem like it is a growing “menace.”
In this current outbreak, and in the ones preceding it, the #’s of infected having full vaccination is identical, 20 %. So the #’s of people who are fully vaccinated and still contract the disease has gone up significantly.
Also, the #’s of those who delay or opt out of vaccines vary widely by state. With some like Oregon or Vermont being as high as 6 % with others like CA being 1-2 %. However, there has been no increase in infections in areas with drastically higher rates of non vaccination. These same #’s bear out around the world in areas with no anti vaccination trends.
The fact is measles is resurging around the world at similar rates and it is not just in areas of non vaccination. It is also not resurging in greater #’s in areas with greater rates of non vaccination.
Finally, there has been no resurgence of other vaccine preventable diseases in areas of significantly higher non vaccination. All of which proves the maxim that correlation is not causation.
