And in the very next sentence Parker invokes none other than Slow Joe Biden, who has to wear special shoes so that they can be extracted from his mouth every time he opens it. Palin is a glib genius compared to that wreck that sits one heartbeat away from the Presidency, God help us.
And of all the people in all the world least likely to be cast as a shrinking virgin sacrificed on the altar of political expediency, I'd have to place Sarah Palin, and yet that, incredibly, is what Parker now does. There is a sort of meta-irony going on here: Parker laments that those awful men crushed Palin and threw her career aside, but it looks an awful lot to me as if it's Parker's career that's in the dumpster of history, and Palin can still write her own ticket as she pleases. You betcha.
