it is delicious and doesn’t taste like cardboard
some think it is cool to dis mcdonalds but they are merely showing ignorance
I live in America. I used to live in Europe but move back about 8 years ago. It’s the top story on Drudge, and based on the comments at the CNBC link, I am not alone in my evaluation. If my opinion is a “rant”, then so is your critique of mine. This forum is all about news stories, threads about culture, music, entertainment, sports, the economy, politics, etc. Once posted, people give their opinion and comment on the subject matter. Perhaps you missed that trend.
I get the feeling you are a “get off my lawn” type of guy.
McDonalds food has really gone downhill in the last few years. The service is what you expect for low wage workers/teenagers and I don’t expect perfection from them.
The food quality has really deteriorated, and they have spent too much time making their stores into a Starbuck’s-lite.
Make better food. Focus on hamburgers/cheeseburgers, fries, and a drink. Not on foo foo types of offerings that are not why one goes to McDonalds in the first place.
My Double Quarter Pounder /w cheese should be perfect when I get it, and most of the time it’s a disheveled mess, and barely edible. Make the food “off the grill” like they used to. Not out of the steamer. Pay attention to the assembly of the sandwich and the way it’s wrapped.
They have spent too much time marketing to blacks and hispanics instead of making a better burger.
My home is on a double lot on the corner of the street, in SmallTown, U.S.A., I take care of my lawn and it shows................................Except for that well worn path across the corner of my lot. Kids are kids and do cut corners and in 22 years, I've never once said, "get off my lawn".
Our new McDonald’s is gorgeous. A lovely patio with sculpted trees, flowers and jazz music.
I used to go there every day for my $1 Large Diet Coke until September 1 when it became the $1.79 Large Diet Coke.
I also think that the mandatory calorie count on the menu board really screwed them over. Now I won’t touch the food, it’s not worth the calories.
“I also think that the mandatory calorie count on the menu board really screwed them over. “

I wasn’t aware that anyone even looked at the calorie counts.
.
They have been screwing up orders regularly too.
About one in ten orders, you get more; nine out of ten, you get less/shorted.
On our “lazy day/cheap burger Wednesday” (today), the wife gets a Bacon McWrap, the hounds get cheeseburgers and I get Subway.
I don’t eat that stuff unless it’s an emergency. Fans can rave all they want, but McFood reeks.
PS I tried a couple of her fries though, and they weren’t bad.
2) Hire people with an IQ of at least 30.
3) Build restaurants that doesn't look like it is an old Burger King or an old Dublin Donuts. ( Those 3 companies are building buildings that looks the same.)
4)Go out of business ...
Ronald laughs as millions starve
And profits forever increase
Your stenching farts as they smile
They say they try to please
Plastic chairs and fake shakes
To help it all go down
Polluting your children with their lies
And trying to destroy your mind
Corporate deathburger, Ronald McDonald
Change from your five
Ankles deep in blood
Make it your career
Sell billions every year
Golden arches and Ronald smiles
Ronald laughs as billions starve
And profits forever increase
Feeding all your grain to cows
Dead children rest in peace
The stench of humans rotting
Smells just like fish filet
Your sign neglects to mention
50,000 starved today
Corporate deathburger, Ronald McDonald
Change from your five
Torture camps for cows
Slaughter and starvation
From death Corporation
Golden arches and Ronald Smiles
You say you’re Christians but you’re a fake
Multinationals on the take
Starving children deserve a break today

That's crazy. Where do you live?
With regard to breakfast, I'm surrounded by dozens of diners and other independently owned family-style restaurants that make a great breakfast. McDonalds is a last resort. Maybe if I'm driving cross-country, I'll stop in for an Egg McMuffin at an interstate rest stop if there are no other options. Otherwise, I would hardly consider them a viable breakfast restaurant.
No actually. I did say something to two neighborhood kids who ran a go cart around and around and around and around the neighborhood for 3 straight weeks one summer. Their go cart had brake pads worn to metal, and sounded like fingernails on a chalk board. The kids blew me off, so I confronted them again, and offered to help fix the cart. They decided to finally give in, and my neighbors gave me a round of applause.
15 Facts About McDonald’s That Will Blow Your Mind
http://www.businessinsider.com/facts-about-mcdonalds-blow-your-mind-2011-11?op=1
Article is 3 years old so the numbers listed are higher.
My location is given in my profile.
We've had the same MCD family franchise owner here for over 50 years and I've been a customer for most of those. Never had the need to lodge a complaint. Actually, we have no problem with hygiene or sanitation in any of the quick service restaurants, and many of the employees are kids working their way through college or older people. No problem demographics of any kind. My city was rated "best place to raise children" just a few weeks ago -- I can't find the link at the moment but in 2012 was rated 2nd by Kiplinger:
Richland (Washington) is almost the best place in the U.S. to raise children, according to the current online issue of Kiplinger.com magazine.Richland's rating -- based the number of public parks and playgrounds, how much money is spent on educating children, income levels and affordability and other factors -- put it at No. 2, right behind Omaha, Neb.
“merely showing ignorance”
Nope. They taste like cardboard to me AND Mrs. Catnipman, AND McD’s food makes us both sick to boot! McD’s is some REALLY nasty food!
McDonalds also customizes their menu well, outside the US:
(17 dishes served outside the US, but not in the US, by McDonalds — some of those might be pretty good, if executed well...?)
Not listed at the link are any of the Philippines’ specific menu items, such as sweet spaghetti, which is not my favorite, but was not bad at all when I tried it. I actually thought the McDonalds burgers there beat both the local competition’s burgers, and McDonalds’ burgers in the US. However, BK has entered that market, and so far, all of my family’s Filipino relatives and friends in RP like BK better.
That said, in the US, Mickey D’s is usually very close to the bottom of my choices when traveling. BK, etc., are generally better, and in our area the local BK franchise chain has some pretty good coupons, sometimes. BK’s BOGO whoppers or chicken or fish sandwiches are a pretty good deal, so far as fast food goes.
Years ago, I thought McDonalds’ little “apple pies” were one of their best items & not bested for the price (often 2 for $1) for that type item by anyone. I have not had one recently, so I can’t comment on the current item.
Seniors love the dollar menu.
