Way too much for an 8 year old. Seal talk (i.e. lots of F bombs) and some serious violence + seeing what PTSD can do to people = don't take the younger ones. The early teens could handle it, but you'd want to have a fairly long debrief. IMHO. It's a great movie, hope you get a chance to see it AG!
