Wouldn’t the number of tickets sold be a better judge of the popularity of movies?

After all different theaters charge different prices and it would make the inflation issue moot.

There is a certain percentage of repeat viewing, that is hard to quantify, but most presume exists. I liked the movie, but as intense as it was, I have no need or desire to see it again for a long time. At least not in a theater, where you get the full-bore experience and feel every bullet fired.
