We have an excellent Chinese restaurant near where I work, that is situated in a historic house (which is a landmark) which has been painted all yellow.
When there is a question as to which Chinese restaurant we will go to, we usually say “The Yellow House” and everyone understands immediately which Chinese
When asked the other day, I said “The Yellow House” and the guy looked at me with a straight face and said “That’s racist.” (He is of Asian ancestry)
He was kidding, but it made me laugh, because there are liberals who would take that completely seriously!
