It is too bad that those folks didn’t show up to visit him while he was alive.
I think it was wonderful that some many showed up to his funeral, but I’m sure he would have enjoyed a chat now and then.
Evidence that he did have friends and family.
Went to the website to watch the video. Had to sit through a insufferable Katy Perry cosmetic commercial. It somehow put the funeral video in perspective.

We have a snap of my dad with his RAF buddy at Christchurch, taken before D Day.
Two happy kids ...then dad said the friend didn’t make it. (With tears).

While that’s great, it would have been nice for some of them to show up while this guy was living. He sounds like he could have used a friend.
