In science.
We learned physics.
And math.
And we know strange things like instrumentation, error bars, principal component anakysis, etc.
And we call thiose who flunked out of our courses journalists.
And politicians.

When I was studying pre-med in college back in the 1970’s I realized that the only major that was easier than “education” was journalism. Those kids always had time to drink heavily and smoke lots of pot. It shows.
And weather forecasters.
