Yes, he opposed them, and also said that more drilling / resources would not bring down the price. He also is on record wanting gas prices to increase to force people to use less gasoline - when they went up over $4.00 per gallon back in the 2008 campaign he said he would have “preferred a more gradual adjustment” - he wasn’t unhappy with the increase in the gas prices, just how fast they went up. Now he claims lower gas prices are a good thing and apparently wants to claim credit for it.
That's because they (his puppeteers) want to have gasoline back at $4 gallon, only this time via taxing it to smithereens so that the Leviathan gets all the profits instead of the 'evil' oil companies .......
