No, because being black is the first requirement. I remember, back in the 70s when I worked for a traditionally black university, the “search” to find a president to replace the one that had resigned. Rumors were flying that a certain highly qualified white may be chosen. Reportedly, the search committee was so concerned that it decided, off the record of course, to only interview black candidates. Which they did and another black president was chosen. To date, only blacks have occupied the top spot of the university.

It seems to me that considering only black candidates to be president of a traditionally black university is more justifiable (especially if the current student body is still overwhelmingly black) than having the head of the Department of Justice selected on the basis of race.

Of course it may be time to rename the Department of Justice the Department of Retribution. Payback time for the years of slavery and Jim Crow laws.
