I know people on chemotherapy. I haven’t seen a one for whom “walking is another issue” hobbling out of their SUV in the handicap space.
I’m not saying there aren’t cases like yours. I’m just saying I don’t see any of them.
I observe people who park in handicap spaces all the time. I’m sure there are some rare cases I’ve missed. I’m just saying that most - if not all - of those I’ve seen are just as healthy as I am, and no more need a handicap space than I do.
What does the fact that you’ve got a legitimate excuse do to undermine my observation? If you’ve got a legitimate reason to use a handicap space, great. My hat’s off to you, and I’m glad you can take advantage of them.
But you’re not really going to argue that just because you actually need a handicap space, there aren’t a lot of people who get them who don’t actually need them, are you?
