Hijabs are offensive.
Maybe, but certainly burqas are.
For me, the issue is concealment of identity. Burqas, masks and droopy hoodies are for Halloween parties, not public social interaction. Hijab--not so bad (except for what comes with it)--more like a kerchief used in many Eastern European settings.
