>> And my faith in Jesus would not be shaken one iota because some loon fell through the cracks.
My hope is built on nothing less than JESUS’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on JESUS’ name!
On CHRIST the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand —
all other ground IS sinking sand.
I was thinking about the great Louis Zamperini the other day. Olympian, NCAA record setter for the mile in the 1930's, WW II hero, survivor of 47 days on a life raft in the Pacific, former POW, and born-again Christian.
Zamperini was raised a Catholic, but knew nothing of Jesus Christ unitil he was in his 30's. His post-war life had become a living hell. He was a severe alcoholic, his marriage was falling apart, he was failing to support even the basic needs of his wife and little daughter. Then he met Billy Graham, and he gave his life to Christ.

Immediately, he gave up drinking, smoking, and pornography. His nightmares ended immediately. He still had struggles, and tribulation, but he was a "new creature" (his words) after accepting Christ.
He devoted his life to Christian mentoring, speaking, and helping boys who were in trouble with the law.
Many Catholics would respond by calling Zamperini a "lapse Catholic", and only lament that he was "no longer following the Catholic church." I have seen it here on this forum when people who were raised Catholic now declare themselves followers of Christ.
Now, think of the illogic of that, not to mention the spiritual mockery that is made of Zamperini's devotion to Jesus Christ.
