Its one thing to disagree with certain environmental policies or to question global warming, its another to assert that man has a right to wantonly destroy or pollute the environment. Are you asserting the latter? That is akin to asserting that someone who opposes Affirmative Action automatically supports racism.

well fine, is the pope calling for something analogous to affirmative action in this context.
when the penance is three hail marys and a donation to al gore, then we might have reason to worry.

That's exactly the opposite of what I was saying. To apply my logic to race, I would say, "It's one thing to oppose affirmative action or reparations for slavery because you think they are bad ideas, but it's another thing to behave in an overtly racist manner towards people."
