The pope actually says something I agree with—and Freepers are trashing him? Does man not have dominion over animals, and does that not suggest a custodial relationship?

I don’t get what’s got people going over this.

it’s funner to bellyache... even if calling the pope some kind of spiritual brother to charles manson (i didn’t know till now he was an environut).

seriously, by the time we get a glimpse of what is happening in the vatican, it has gone through a lot of different lenses and we don’t know what they are.

Yes it does. That statement by itself is not even controversial.

He goes on to blab on about recycling and global warming. If that is a minor part of his remarks, then OK, whatever. He's an idiot for believing in global warming but half the people in the world believe it.

The problem is that the world is dying without Christ. And the problem is that Christians are being slaughtered as we speak. I would love to hear a major leader in the Christian world actually evangelizing. And speaking up for the martyred brethren.
