No, the losing coach should be fired for having such a bad team. The losing coach could have called the game at halftime if he was such a pansy. Out in the big bad real world there are winners and losers. The only career you get to slide with a participation ribbon is in government employment.

The losing coach may very well be fired.

The winning coach is not fit to teach young people. I have been a coach at the high school level and have been on both sides of blowout wins and losses. You don’t run up the score if you are on the winning side, and you don’t quit if you are on the losing side. Those are the unwritten laws of athletic competition at the high school level and below. Honorable men and women who are worthy of leading teams abide by these concepts.
