One very old American definition of an “honest politician” is “one who stays bought.”
She was backed heavily by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. So, it will be interesting to see if she is an honest politician or not.
“The national business group the U.S. Chamber of Commerce recommitted itself to Republican Joni Ernst’s bid for the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, pledging “all-in” support in her race against Democrat Bruce Braley.
The Chamber, a massive lobbying and fundraising force in Washington, D.C., previously supported Ernst in the GOP primary earlier this year, airing TV ads on her behalf in the days leading up to her surprisingly easy victory over four other candidates.
That effort will be redoubled in her run to defeat Braley in the November general election, Chamber Political Director Rob Engstrom said.

Didn’t Palin support her? Then again, Palin also supported Kelly Ayotte and we saw how that went.
Ernst is weak on amnesty but I think Ingraham at least got her to oppose doubling guestworkers.
Ernst wants to bring illegal aliens forward.
The thing is Grassley is better on amnesty than most GOP members in Congress and he wins by landslides every time. He’s not the best but he is better than Ron Johnson, Pat Toomey, Mark Kirk and others from Blue states.
