Assimilating Moslems into the American culture is several orders of magnitude harder than assimilating blacks, IMHO, and will test us to the max.

Actually America's done a pretty good job assimilating Muslims. The problem comes when their numbers hit a tipping point and their 'leaders' start preaching hatred and sharia.

If we're not so 'open minded' our brains fall out we can stop the ill effects of radical Imams.

Until we figure out what in the Islamic religion causes radicals to flourish, we need to STOP all immigration from that part of the world. On blacks, I'm beginning to feel they'll never assimilated into the mainstream culture. Look at Holder and Obama - as successful as they've become they still identify with black street criminals - based only on skin color. That's tribal - it's starting to look like we'll never overcome that...

WHOA! I’ll need to see a lot of positive information about your claim that “America’s done a pretty good job assimilating Muslims.”

Assimilating to me means “to bring into conformity with the customs, attitudes, etc., of a group, nation, or the like; adapt or adjust” Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/assimilating.

I don’t think the Moslems I have seen or read about care a whit about assimilating into our society.

I wish I were wrong, and I wish that Moslems truly wanted to be Americans, but I don’t believe they want to be or, for that matter, are capable of assimilating like, for example, the Irish, Germans, Poles, and yes, even the Oriental and Spanish immigrants have.
