Conservative Leaders Draft Mandate For GOP: Stop Obama’s Fundamental Transformation Of America

"Congress has an historic opportunity to lay down a marker for freedom and stop the erosion of freedom emanating from the pen of President Obama. They were elected to do just that, to not only stop the fundamental transformation of America, but to create the alternative vision of a prosperous, free America where citizens know that hard work is the pathway to success. They were elected to protect and defend the Constitution from the tidal wave of encroachments that threaten the basic God-given freedom from government that individuals are guaranteed."

Nice of the outgoing senate and congress to give Obama another 10 months of writing rules without any oversight.

It was a simple choice for me. Utter repudiation of Obama’s goals and ideas and a dire wish to stop his policies at any cost juxtaposed against an outright disgust at Republican leadership.

The Republican leadership drew second on the hate list, but they’re now number one on the list. Let’s see what they’ll do. 2016 is by no means a lock for them.

will the Republican-led Congress stop it . . . or codify it? The first signals are not encouraging.

The GOP has once again deceived its base. It says one thing and then does another. When will the base wake up and stop falling for this biennial trickery?

I think we already know what to expect from them in 2016. It will be the same old movie (just another RINO production) we’ve seen countless times before. Lots of promises, posturing, and talk but little if any meaningful action. Conservatives will be disappointed yet again.

GOP leadership boldly declares that the election was a case of voters trusting Republicans with an opportunity to “prove we can govern” — to demonstrate that GOP lawmakers can work effectively with the president. They could not be more wrong.

And they damn-well know this is not true.

But the GOPEs are confident they can win without the conservative base and that they can re-mold enough conservative members of the caucus so the conservative bloc is reduced to irrelevancy. This the leadership truly believes. Hopefully they will be proven as wrong about this as they are about their mandate they think is to "work effectively with the president".

Sdpeak for yourself. They didn’t deceive me. I know what and who they are.

This past November was the last time I will ever go out and vote for a RINO. I will vote in 2016 if there is the name “Cruz” on the ballot here in Georgia. Otherwise I am staying home.

A lot of us know what and who they are. Unfortunately the GOP base “lacks awareness” and just can’t see it for what it is. They reality is that the GOP is playing them for fools.

It might be a little more palatable to vote if the GOP was more inclusive and embraced conservatives. But its pretty obvious that they don’t really want us around.

They only want our money and our votes, not our principles.

Great piece.

McCarthy is a rare NR contributor who gets it.

GOP doesn’t mean anything to me anymore. If anything, it means capitulation, deceit and promises they never intended to keep. They are more interested in their second-tier mindset and comfort with the power Democrats deign to allow them. Without a strong resolute leader like Cruz at the helm, they will never realize true actions that will give us the freedom we are guaranteed by a Constitution long forgotten by them.

A RINO running for president in 2016 is a foregone conclusion unfortunately. This strategy keeps failing, so they keep doing it. The GOP is truly stuck on stupid.

The Conservative block is the GOP’s “Negro block”. No matter how bad Conservatives are treated, they STILL vote for the R. Just as the blacks vote for the D. Unless and until the cycle is broken, nothing will change.
