Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a press conference today he has no plans to apologize to the NYPD for his fundamental beliefs, but is always willing to come together with officers to address their issues. This comes just a day after reports of an all-out brawl at a meeting of one of the major NYPD unions over whether de Blasio should apologize.
Officers have been peeved for weeks because in reaction to the Eric Garner grand jury decision, de Blasio talked about racism and how hes warned his son Dante about interactions with the police.
At todays presser, the mayor said, The things that I have said that I believe are what I believe, and you cant apologize for your fundamental beliefs.

They voted for the bastard. Ha Ha Ha.
Reminds me of Washington, DC and Marion Barry.
Being a New Socialist Male means never having to say you're sorry.
Can you imagine if a conservative said this? There would be cars burning...
you cannot fix stupid
“Red” de Blasio, a hard core Marxist, supporter of the Sandinista and the Castro regime, is a life-long America-hater. Bolshevik Bill honeymooned in Havana, It’s good that he’s chosen not to apologize for his remarks about the NYPD because it would be false and might slow the mounting public discontent with his foolish progressivism. He is not contrite about his remarks. He happily joined in with Obama’s “Big Lie” propaganda narrative following Ferguson...”Cops are racist!”...”We need to have a conversation about excessive force used against African-Americans.” Both are obvious fictions. His doofus brand of commie dogma is serving to defame the left in its very heart. It is not NYC that is doomed, but de Blasio and his agenda.
“NYC is getting exactly what they deserve.”
Well, most of NYC, anyway. I feel sorry for those handful who did not vote for that commie, as they are truly victims of NYC insanity. Kind of like those of us who did not vote for or support King Putt or Democrats: We are punished and suffer through no fault or actions of our own.
I believe he will apologize in his resignation speech.
KARMA will strike.
?What about the fundamental beliefs of those who would like to pray at?”
I must say that I approve more and more of our Supreme Court’s decision as I certainly don’t want our children participating in Muslim prayers at school.

According to a preliminary police report released Wednesday, a man, whom police officials have identified as Barry, entered the PNC Bank branch in the 800 block of Seventh Street NW around noon Tuesday and sought to make a large cash withdrawal. He was told, according to the report, that his account was overdrawn and could not make the withdrawal he requested.
He then threw a trash can over the security glass, the report said, striking and destroying a surveillance camera while the incident was being recorded on other cameras.
No arrest was made Tuesday related to the incident, said Lt. Sean Conboy, a police spokesman who confirmed basic details of the incident Tuesday but did not confirm Barrys identity or other details.

my family and I were on the elevator with Marion Barry years ago, in Union Station, not during mayoral days but city council days. He was sweating like the cokehead that he was. LOL!
I am still wondering what 35,000 cops, or a fraction thereof, can do to take de Blasio down a bunch of pegs. And it’s not just the police themselves, but everybody they know, good and bad, who can work to bust his balloon.
I don't disagree with your sentiment about forced participation in a religion, but the point is the immensity of the hypocrisy. The far left only defend those fundamental beliefs that happen to be in line with their own. Regarding NYC, we're talking about a city that won't let people buy large size soft drinks... Regarding De Blasio, I respect his right to his personal fundamental beliefs, but when he is speaking publicly as the mayor of NYC, and makes statements that arguably could be interpreted as stirring the pot against his own police force, he is not speaking as a private citizen but as a representative of the people - all the people he was elected to serve.
As for the participation in Muslim prayer at school, you've probably seen this: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3246986/posts
Not the same, exactly, but somehow I doubt that an equivalent gesture would be granted to a Christian or Jewish group on campus. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected.
