"If ye love wealth better than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude
better than the animating contest of freedom,
go home from us in peace.
We ask not your counsels or your arms.
Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly upon you,
and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

That one always makes me laugh. Love it!
The propane guy was here this morning. I called them last
Wednesday, but they never came. Yesterday, Bryan called
them and mentioned that we were really running low, and
voilá! they showed up today.
It’s our cooking and fireplace gas. The heat in this house
is geothermal, the heat pumps work on electricity.

Wow. It’s a good thing that they came out today. Aren’t you having record cold temperatures? It’s much easier to stay warm with hot food!

Ours shows up every 3 months. There isn't a gauge on the tank either. AND, they haven't figured out that we use more in winter than in summer.
We need to find a new propane company.

The propane isn’t for heating, it’s just for cooking (range top and oven) and the gas fireplace.
The house has geothermal heating and cooling, and that runs on electricity. We keep it at 65°.

Yes, 65 is a good temp. Not too warm, not too cold.

Gee, that’s weird, DJ. I’ve never seen a propane tank without a gauge,
except the little ones we use on the barbecue.
To: DJ MacWoW
Every three months doesn’t seem often enough, but we have oil. We’ve never used propane, except with our grill, so I have no idea how often it would need to be refilled. How big a tank is it?

This company isn’t the best. I asked for a gauge and they said “We don’t do that”.

It’s a 70 gal for the stove but we cook and bake more in winter. We’ve run out twice.
