This thread is about a child murdered by the Muslims and you’re pissing around about Christianity? It doesn’t make sense.
Nope not pissing around anything, muslims have no care or virtue about females, we all know that, neither did ancient hebrews, we also know that. Jews today do respect their women , this is true, muslims still live in ancient times.
You are setting up a straw man. The age of Mary at the time of the Incarnation has nothing to do with the fact that Mohammed was a pedophile. Throwing in unrelated conjecture (no one knows Mary’s age, but no one has suggested as far as I know she was any younger than the usual age of marriage) has nothing to do with the fact that Mohammed married a 6 year old.
Christ respected women, and He was an acient Hebrew.... You are trying to deflect the arguement by throwing in unrelated observances. Paul also showed women respect, and set up churches in their households (ie Lydia, etc) Try again....
Because we know that was documented, true, in AD 600, that was not uncommon through out the mid east no matter what religion. Heck it was common here in the US/North America to marry at puberty 200 years ago.
Well, lets' see. You don't think anyone knows what the ancient Hebrews thought because the oldest surviving written volumes of scripture only predate Christianity by a mere 500 years.
So, you have no way of knowing what the ancient Hebrews did or did not feel about women.
Christians, on the other hand do know that the Hebrews cherished their women. We accept the testimony of scripture as it has been handed down to us.
Now, you may despise Christians for being so accepting of the Bible, but you aren't going change our minds about what it says -- or means.
Christ was NOT an ancient Hebrew, the ancients were 2000 years before him.
Again, the age of Mary has nothing to do with it. Mohammed married a 6 year old. I know of no society where that was common. The evil prophet was a disgusting pedophile, traitor, liar and quite likely posessed by Satan. Other than that, he was an all around great guy I’m sure.
We just need to empathize with them to find out why they hate us.
If you are comparing Mohammed to the ancient Hebrews then by your definition there is no comparison. Mohammed was 600 years after Christ, who you agree treated women well. The Hebrews of their time treated their women far better than even modern muslims do. Try to keep your arguments straight.
I do not despise Christians, Not at all one bit. It is just so hard for some people to discuss history without getting all upset that the past may not have been all rosey as some would like you to believe.
Again, you are hyperventilating. Arranged marriages even at infancy was not uncommon. It even happens today in some countries. I never said it was right or contrite, I said it happens and did happen back then.
Here’s what I think.
I don’t believe, trust, credit or care to hear what the Muslims claim about God, Jesus, Abraham or anything else.
Furthermore, it was inappropriate of you to taint this thread, about the horrific murder of a child by Muslims, with comments giving credence to the Islamic enemies of civilization while simultaneously attacking America’s basic Judeo-Christian essence.
But that’s just my opinion.

I guess I forgot to mention that I don’t believe, trust, credit, or care about anything you say tonight either.
It really doesn’t matter does if someone is confused, but when they prefer blowing people up or cutting off other people’s heads or wrapping a bomb around a young girl’s body and detonating it when she is around large groups of people - then I am not going to look very kindly on them and their religion.

I grant you that “muslims have no care or virtue about”, women, but the following comment “neither did the ancient hebrews,” displays, shall we say, more than a little ignorance on your part, and even less understanding of the things that the Scriptures actually say.
But stick to catfish, a subject of which, clearly, you know a great deal.
That is the point, we really don’t know what the scriptures actually say, do we. We don’t have a true copy of them do we. If OTOH you know where they are, please enlighten me.
