This country is a one party country run exclusively by the Librino party. Well said!

My candidate in the last election was "Not Romney." This time around, it will be "Not Bush or Romney." Then your candidate is the tooth fairy. :^)

It would be liberating, don't you think? No more need to hurt our brains puzzling over candidates' records, worrying over their policy platforms, etc. We could forget about any alliances (or dalliances) they may or may not have. Whatevah.....just vote R, and leave the rest to our betters in Washington. We'd be at peace at last!! LOLOLOL!!!! Bump!!! {^)
Ignorance is bliss!

And 150 posts in, the propaganda flies unabated. We discussed why privately.

I’m pretty much doubting that Robert Green is a Mormon ;)
As I said to Windy. It’s a manual on how to be a greedy powermad arsehole and understanding what motivates them nd why. ..Come to think of it that describes at least one mormon pretty well....
on second thought...;)

My criteria start with 'Can he beat Hillary?'" In other words, that's a deal breaker. It should be. In other words, you are reacting defensively from the earliest stages. You are basing your choice on your expectations of the opposition. You allow yourself to be manipulated by how the left spins its way through a left-dominated media. HELLO???????
MY criteria start with: "Am I willing to be accountable for what happens if the guy I'm voting for wins?
THAT should be the "deal breaker." The identity of the opposition has zero relevance to what I am willing to vote FOR.
"Hillary" -- that's what worried Republicans were wailing in 2008, "anybody who can beat Hillary." Meanwhile, the Democrats nominated Obama right out from under their expectations.
You can vote "against" and "anybody-but" all you want. You're chasing unicorns when you do. Worse, it's "heads they win, tails we lose." It's a sucker's bet.

I think it all lends to rich and turbulent discussion. I'm fine with it. I am glad that there's no zotting going on.
If FR zotted all the pro-Romney pro-Uniparty Republican folks, then we and the lurkers who read here, would be getting a distorted and false picture of the reality. As it is, pessimists will see what they hate, optimists will see what they love, and realists will see what is.
The discussion is crucial and must be had. It is the elephant in the room. Thank God for Free Republic and God bless Jim Robinson and his family.

And so we repeat the last fiasco verbatim. Not sure how you can see a benefit in that. It led to the the thing we mutually despise. Romney winning the nomination.

I've seen this movie, and I know how it ends. I promise you: You won't like it. I promise you, presidio9: You will HATE all the wickedness and betrayal and treachery and depravity that it "ends" with if Romney or any other leftist Republican president went into the White House on a landslide; voters who intended it to be a referendum against the opposition, would be looking at a Republican leftist who would swiftly convert that referendum "against" into a resounding confirmation for his own brand of Republican "progressivism." The ending of that movie would be very, very bad, I promise you.

You know that gameshow where they say “No Whammies”?
I want to say instead, “No Romneys”
Rinos belong in the zoo.
