"I think we have a tendency to otherize people, if you will, of a different race, a different religion, a different ethnicity and then to perceive events into a narrative of threat and this is a very natural human thing," Kristol said. "And I must say when I travel around the Mideast, I sit down in mosques and hear clerics concoct these extraordinary sort of paranoid visions of America because every data point that they get plugs into this stereotype that they have and they otherize us. I suggest Mr. Kristol bring this message of peace and tolerance to Syria. I'm sure ISIS will be very interested in what he has to say. They may even let him live. But I wouldn't bet on it.

Made up words for made up excuses. Yup. I can't stand buzz words in the first place and this sounds like one of the newest. Guess it makes them feel special or smarter than the masses when they use it.

The mindless assumption that “intolerance” is bad disappoints me. Which is better: tolerance of evil, or intolerance of evil? Any decent person knows the answer. “Discrimination” between good and bad is a good thing. Intolerance of evil is a good thing. Uniformly good health is better than a “diversity” of health states.
Liberals have defined words that reflect judgement to have moral values, regardless of how they are applied, and that reflects a lack of critical thinking. It’s time to take language back and use words properly.

Hey Kristof, they chop off the heads of gay people like you every day. How come you don’t complain about that?

"I think we have a tendency to otherize people, if you will, of a different race, a different religion, a different ethnicity and then to perceive events into a narrative of threat and this is a very natural human thing,"...gee, Nick, if only we could all be as intelligent, as sensitive, as perceptive - hell, as wonderful as you are.....

Dear Nicholasl;
You are a freaking idiot, with no grounding whatsoever in reality. Go and do what I have done, in the places I have done it, with the muslims I have had deep conversations with.

"...recognize that one can't blame 1.6 billion adherents of this vast and complex religion."
Radical Islam are those who cut the heads off infidels/other sects; "moderate" Islam are those who approve the radical Islamic cutting the heads off infidels/other sects; Western Islam is a smokescreen under the moderate label; secular Islam are those who consciousness eventually leads them to another ideology

The multitudes cheered 9/11. There have been very few individual voices who have condemned these acts. Needles in haystacks.

Tolerance indicates there is something wrong but you are resigned to put up with it rather than stopping/changing the wrong. Kristoff is admitting islam is wrong.
