House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) is defending his conservative bona fides after a failed attempt by conservatives to oust him from his speakership.
“It does pain me to be described as spineless or a squish,” Boehner said to chuckles from reporters. “I tell you what pains me the most is when they describe me as ‘the establishment.’ Now I’m the most anti-establishment speaker we’ve ever had.”
“Who was the guy who got rid of earmarks? Me,” he continued. “Who’s the guy who believes in regular order? Me. Who believes in allowing more members to participate in the process from both sides of the aisle? Me.”
Tuesday, on the first day of the 114th Congress, 25 House conservatives — encouraged by outside conservative groups and pundits — voted against Boehner’s reelection as speaker.
When asked about why he faced such conservative opposition, the Speaker explained it comes with the job.
“I’ve given some thought to this as you might imagine,” he said. “The American people are very frustrated. They’re frustrated in a struggling economy, frustrated that they don’t think Washington’s listening and they want action. I talk to Americans everyday, talk to my constituents everyday. And this frustration that’s out there — they need to take it out on somebody. They take it out on the President, take it out on me. It comes with the territory.”
Boehner argued further that when he voted as a member, he had the eighth most conservative voting record in Congress.

He really is delusional and has no idea what conservatism is.
He is not delusional. He is realistically pursuing his goals and Obama's goals which are the same goals.
The conservative 25 need to reform themselves as the Liberty Party with their own separate caucus and not participate in the Republican Caucus. Everyone else must be excluded from the Liberty Caucus. No one might participate who voted for Boehner for one legislative year. The Democrats will then get their way just as they will with the Congress as it now stands until the Republicans begin to come to the Liberates for leadership, which they will.

If you have to deny something about yourself.. You are likely what you are denying.

In reality Boner is only a squish if he truly believes in the Constitution and surrenders to dictator Obama anyway. However Boner does not believe in the Constitution so his surrendering to Obama is not squishiness, just treason.

What we call conservative the vast majority of the country call crazy nuts.
We are tiny minority of the country and yet we can’t understand why we are ignored. We are ignored because we are few in number and nobody else cares at all about our agenda.
For example, gays and similar groups are supported by a majority of the country, the media, all Democrats and even some Republicans.
Conservatives are supported only by conservatives, we are outcasts, pilloried by the media, supported by a minority of Republicans and no one else.
We must convert people to our way of thinking or we will continue to lose.
I didn’t say compromise, I said convert. We are going nowhere until we increase our numbers.
Without him Obama could do nothing.
