If it’s a hidden vote, then how do we know how our rep voted and whether we need to primary him or not?
reveal AFTER the vote / election
reveal AFTER the vote / election
If revealed, it should be a MONTH after the election, remember the goal is to prevent intimidation of fellow members.

The Uniparty.
There would be fraud without naming of names for their vote. The RINOs would rig the vote just like the Dems rig elections.
Yea. Abandoning the enemy.
Thanks for the thread. But I think you’re operating from a fundamentally flawed premise; that the Uniparty wants to change the House of Kabuki or how its run.
Todays vote is just further confirmation that what the uniparty wants, it gets. As if we needed further comfirmation. The rules operated as intended. What we want is irrelevant.
Exactly. We’ve been outbid by K-Street.
Can we go ahead and work in term limits, while we’re dreaming?
“Exactly. Weve been outbid by K-Street.”
Outbid, outspent, outmaneuvered, sold down the river, chewed up, and spat out.
But its actually good news. You can’t fix a problem unless you’re willing to admit the problem exists and honestly assess where you stand. As it regards electoral politics, conservatives are completely screwed. Not just partially, completely. Happily, we can choose to walk away from the theatre of the absurd and seek our own freedom.
“Can we go ahead and work in term limits, while were dreaming?”
Sure. I’d like to add in a requirement that only upstanding and moral individuals can serve. And Norm gets a pony. That’s very important. Don’t forget the pony.
Word.
Okay, okay....Norm gets the pony ;^)
I used to tell the HR woman at my last job that I wanted a pony. It became a regular running joke when she came down to the news room.
One day, with great ceremony, she brought me a toy/barbie style/size pony thinking herself clever. I proceeded to jump up on my desk and scream “I GOT A PONY!” over and over.
We all had a good laugh ;)...and it STAYED on my desk till I left.

The votes against Boehner represented about 10% of the new GOP caucus. The ultra conservative wind seemingly can never accept that other people have viewpoints and political goals which are simply not in sync with them. Whenever an election is lost, it is always because of some great conspiracy.
why not take this to heart: The fault is not with the GOPe, but within ourselves. (with apologies to Shakespeare)
It’s a prank not a plank!
And that fault is that we think we can reform the GOP from within. The fact is, we cannot. The GOP is not a conservative constitutionalist party, and what you see is what you get.
Interesting idea, worthy of discussion, should not be part of the party platform.
I would annoy a great many single issue voters with my severe editing of the party platform. 2 thousand words maximum, the platform must be able to fit on a pamphlet and still be legible by someone with 20/40 vision without assistance.
“The votes against Boehner represented about 10% of the new GOP caucus. “
Yup. Remember that. Despite all the hours spent, despite all the dollars and treasure squandered, when push came to shove, conservatives got, oh, about 10% of the vote. And we participate in this farce... because?
“The ultra conservative wind seemingly can never accept that other people have viewpoints and political goals which are simply not in sync with them.”
Wow. I’m an ultra conservative? Can I quote you? Actually, I probably come closer to libertarian, but I like Ultra conservative just fine. RKBA Democrat -Ultra Conservative. Has a nice ring to it.
But addressing your point, you are absolutely correct. We Ultra Conservatives have a hard time accepting that those who we elect on a Ultra Conservative platform turn out to be as milquetoast and wishy washy as members of the other half of the Uniparty. No conspiracy is needed when everyone thinks alike and serves the same agenda.
So why not take this similar quote to heart “it wasn’t his fault, it’s mine.” (The credo of beaten wives the world over)
Whenever an election is lost, it is always because of some great conspiracy.
