People greatly underestimate the cunning depravity of the GOP-e. It is a juggernaut against the first sign of any internal resistance and will undermine same by ANY MEANS NECESSARY. It is a ruthless force, but no so much when it comes to Democrats.
The GOP no longer cares what the overwhelming will of their base is, nor that of the American people itself.
Like all Oligarchies beholden to dictators, they are there to do the will of the Emperor, create breads and circuses to placate the people while they enrich themselves by impoverishing their constituents and establishing fascism as a bulwark against the pitchforks and torches of the little people.
Hate to say to the hopeful Conservatives that they can redeem the GOP that we told them so. What happens after today is a combined concerted effort to annihilate Conservatives from any and all influence in the country and establish the bulwarks for permanent fascism.
