If Huckabee Runs, We All Lose
The American Spectator ^ | January 5, 2015 | Emily Zanotti

Posted on 01/05/2015 7:28:11 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Aaron is much more conciliatory toward, and much less overtly terrified at the thought of a Mike Huckabee Presidential campaign. I do not share his remarkable confidence that our esteemed electorate will not happily embrace the guitar-toting Southern progressive with what is left of their hearts and minds after a long and arduous primary season.

People, let's be real. Mike Huckabee, and Rick Santorum for that matter, aren't really Republicans. I mean, as a RINO heathen, I can obviously spot another of my species, and these two are it, though, while I'm teetering on the edge of full social anarchy, these two are the type of moderate Democrat who thinks that it would be totally appropriate to pass out a national survey on sex lives and nutritional habits, and then follow up with state-mandate counseling sessions if you so much as mentioned a Lover's Lane catalog or a preference for chicken nuggets. And while I ascribe to Rick Santorum's traditionalist Catholic religious beliefs, I can't honestly say I support someone who would create that much paperwork.

Mike Huckabee is no different. His one claim to fame is that, while the field is moderating on the subject of gay marriage, he is still ardently opposed and happy to get his information on the subject of "the homosexual agenda" from pamphlets circulated by Focus on the Family sometime in the early 1990s. And yes, while that will tug at the heartstrings of a coalition of voters still pining away for the glory days of the Bush Administration, I can't imagine it would be wildly popular enough to give up a successful television program and a burgeoning career as a boistrous, if rather prickly, cable news pundit....

Not sure if this rino is right about Mike, but he is right about one thing. I will never vote for a man who supports Sodomy. Id rather see the nation go down in slavery and flames with the democrats. Then contribute in favor of a slightly slower pace.

If that is where the republican goes we should work to see that he is defeated. Otherwise we will be left with a monopoly where Christian are persecuted.

Instead of upcoming debates, just do reruns from the past debate or two...The networks can pocket the money and no one will notice the difference.

Are you saying that Huckabee supports sodomy? I have not heard this before - if I have misconstrued your post, please put me right.

As you will not, neither will I vote for a man who supports Sodomy - I don't care how socially accepted and trendy it becomes!

Wait until Ted Cruz, North American debate champion in both categories, shows up.

Unfortunately, one guy ain’t going to change anything in today’s America.

You could have George Washington running and debating, and they’d probably have him arrested for subversive radical ideas and or belonging to a terrorist organization.

Ahhh!

Thanks, Pelham! Serves me right for posting without reading the article.

I'm more than tired of having the homo agenda shoved down my throat. And up - well, you know.

Uh, do I have to have a specific reason or motive to comment?

Is what I say here going to change the course of history?

No the article clearly states that Huckabee is pro-traditional marriage. In fact this self described RINO is complaining about that very fact.

“WHAT?

I saw that, but the author was postulating that he may be among a few republicans running that are.

I was simply pointing out that I would rather the country burn then support anyone who supports the bastardization of marriage in sodomy.

The bottom line is Governments come and go. Our future as a people, ultimately is entirely depended upon a culture of large reproducing families. But the left have been bastardizing that for decades, to the point where people no longer even see marriage as a commitment rather than a rather expensive if otherwise pointless public expression of a transitory feeling. We know this because people in ever greater numbers have been ending those unions thou the state on the basis of those same feelings when they inevitably hit rough spots.

The point is marriage as it was known for thousands of years and in the bible is all about family, IE children. To form them among pairs incapable of having children is not only sinful it is an open mockery of the whole point of that union.
A mockery if accepted that poisons the idea of true marriage, thus completely abolishing the concept as meaningful, among those who accept the idea by divorcing marriage from its roots in children just as they have divorced marriage from its life time union with easy divorce.

I cannot go down this path because it can only lead to personal doom for me and my family, just as it will on a larger scale lead to the doom and stagnating decline of any civilization.

There fore it is better to let the nation burn than to embrace this fundamental lie. For at least when the nation has has embraced the lie has burned to the ground the proginty of the rest of us who have rejected it will rise from the ashes to start again.

I understood that, I was simply pointing out that if any wasn’t pro marriage ended up winning the nomination Id vote against them in the General election.

There is no room for compromise when it comes to the survival of the civilization and our families which depend upon embracing the stable and ‘large’ reproductive family.

If we must for any length of time become a minority, rest assured we will not remain one so long as we hold to our believes, as theirs will only serve to decimate and destabilize their long term numbers forcing them to rely ever more heavily upon foreigners to make up the difference.

Drudge says Santorum is definitely running, as has a GWB operative I never heard of working to chart a path to victory.

I read the article and I am not buying it. At this point I am certainly not sure that Huckabee is the best candidate, but saying that if he runs we all lose is crazy. He has a right to throw his hat in the ring and if he somehow comes out on top... I would certainly support him over Hillary, Elizabeth Warren or any of the other likely Democrat candidates. The headline seems reminiscent of global warming hysteria. And my wife and I... like Huck do not support gay marriage.

The Huckster is a snake-oil salesman, just running to keep his name relevant. Santorum is a one-trick pony, likewise running simply to keep his name relevant. I would not willingly mark my ballot for either of them.

Cruz is THE guy. We need to talk about him as much as possible to friends and family, and let them know he’s a brilliant Constitutional scholar (like Obozo was *supposed* to be) and a patriot, not the lunatic the media has made him out to be.
