Sent this to you in private mail, but thought maybe I should share. Please know I have no interest in the products I have used, just researched them on Amazon, and went by the comments.
I definitely have the flu, (day 5, I think) - but have kept it under control with the products listed below:

The trick to defeating the flu and colds is to be very aware of the first little hint that something isnt right, then get on it immediately. Depending on the strength of the virus, sometimes you can head it off completely in a day or two.
Here is an article that might be helpful.

Sometimes a virus will still get you down, but I think my approach will keep it manageable. My flu started last Thursday, about noon, when I noticed a a very slight headache, (which I usually never get) and the funny little feeling in my throat.
I started immediately with the silver, extracts, and went to bed. The headache didnt get beyond slight, the throat stayed calm, but the fatigue and sleepiness was definitely there. I slept through the first two or three days. I had no appetite for food at all, but ate a little something, and drank a lot of filtered water.
Following on, a clump of junk cleared from above my soft palate on day 3 or 4, saving me from the sore throat. Nasal congestion increased, but I used a nose dropper to drip silver solution up my nose, and in my ears. Whipped it right good!
Today is day 5, and I am definitely on the mend. No headache, no throat, no movement down into my chest, and no longer needing to sleep all day. I will begin tapering off the high doses of silver, extracts, and vitamins.
My appetite is returning, and I feel much better. I will still isolate from the other seniors in my building who are heading to the hospital right and left, as I do not want to spread it to anyone else. (I know I got it from one of them)
The one failure on my part is not washing my hands enough, and touching my face, eyes, nose, etc.
Good luck to you in avoiding the flu this year. My best advice is to order the products ahead of time, for prompt action at the onset seems to be the key to a quick recovery.
You said you "dripped it" up your nose.
I was advised (and I did) put my CS in a nasal inhaler; it gets all up there real good, but I am new to this concept and any input would be well recieved.
