Oh wow! I predict that crying won’t get him out of trouble this time.

He’s gone.

HOWEVER... It would be better that he loses the Speakership based on his lack of Conservatism, not a scandal. But I expect many GOPers caught between having to support the leadership vice doing what their constituents want can now use this scandal as cover for their vote of no support.

I think Gohmert would be outstanding as speaker.

Hey Corker!

Kill the gas tax!

You thieves make more money on a gallon of gas than anyone in the production/marketing chain.

Kill and Replace....all federal taxes with the Fair Tax.

we have cold showers, no dryer, no hot water heater,no stove, oven and on and on.

Why would you need heat?

Camp stove, clothesline, huge pot of water on the BBQ grille...

It's Camping!

Rumors are he,Boehner, had an affair or something.

OK fine, big whoop...time to go.

A big screw-up by a big screw-up, does not equal giving him a pass on continuously stabbing the American People in the back.

I believe Cuba is a distraction created by 0bama to further his power and influence. Gitmo too. The US Senate and House should hold hearings and possibly pass restrictions directed at the Cuba issue but not let Cuba dictate other efforts.

Get on the Keystone XL pipeline. Pass laws directed at the illegal immigrant issue. If nothing else, the GOP needs to get on track from day one to set the agenda and direction we need to go.

Take charge and do what we elected you guys to do.

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sens. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn

Klobuchar “compromise” [so now Republicans must go along with the Democrat’s legislative fraud when there was no compromise]

Klobuchar “...unemployment better” [doesn’t want to address the labor participation rate or the Federal Reserve’s Quantitative Easing-printing $80 billion a month to buy bonds from the private sector(inflation)]

Panel Guest “permanent war” [bad judgement and poor decisions have not improved National Security]

MEET THE PRESS report “no strategy” [remember when ‘winning’ was the strategy-Bush had a successful Surge and many citizen of other Nations in the middle east expressed the desire to vote?]

Thanks for this - hadn’t seen it. Given that the stories seem to be about 3-4 years old and they didn’t seem to hurt him getting re-elected as a Rep from Ohio or elected as Speaker, I wonder if they’ll have any bearing now. Regardless of whether he did or didn’t have affairs, he’s been a lousy Speaker and he needs to go.

Not only does he cave to Obummer, he isn’t getting the message out. When Pelosi was Speaker, she was on TV every week with her presser (saw them on FNC). I’ve rarely seen Boehner doing the same thing. Perhaps he does so and I’ve missed them or the media doesn’t cover them often, but he’s the Speaker for heaven’s sake, he could push for more coverage and if the LSM didn’t cover it, IMHO he has somewhat of a bully pulpit - Pelousy sure knew how to use it.

I agree. Don’t know who talked Huckabee into running but it’s a bad move for him. IMHO. He actually had more influence with his TV show than he’ll ever have doing a failed run for president.

I do, too. He’s my first choice. Others on FR were suggesting Marsha Blackburn; and, while I think she would be good, I think Gohmert would be terrific.

One thing I don’t know and have been wondering about: how are the rest of the Republican leadership chosen? For instance, say Louie wins Speakership (prayers up and fingers crossed), does he choose the others? Would that mean that McCarthy and Scalaise are out?

I even left the grill at the old house—I can still go fishing so the rest will take care of itself.

My understanding is the leadership is elected. Committee heads are chosen, usually based on longevity, to head their respective committees.

That’s why it’s so hard to oppose Bohner. He chooses committee heads and paybacks can be harsh.

Cruz/any conservative candidate (Walker, Jindal, Martinez, ??) works for me. And, I agree with you, RG, the Republicans had way too many candidates and way too many primary debates last time. Reince said they aren’t going to have as many debates this time and not include liberal moderators (we’ll see about that - now that Candy is out at CNN, wonder if she’ll be invited back as a moderator to help Hillary!/Fauxohauntus/O’Malley/Uncle Joe/Webb/TBD against a Pubbie(s) like she did in the Romeny/Obummer debate.

No question. I don’t think he will survive any of this. It’s a miracle Judge Roberts has survived what he has.

While its true each and every new op the regime does in their effort to create chaos about every two weeks is always designed to distract from the previous op.
But in the case of Cuba they have fomented revolution and promoted communism all over Central and South America fr years as well as Africa. One more reason why other commie nations have funded them.

I wonder if Amy Klobuchar will comment on anything controversial. She’s a master of the ‘touchy-feely’ photographs at happy moments. Nothing ever on Benghazi, Obama’s scandals, etc.

Well said, Morgan!

Obama creates a lot of distractions to cover up other things he’s doing - it’s almost like a shell game. The LSM jumps from one story (shell) to another, when Bama has other things going on (like the almost 500k new regulations released). It’s Look over here in this hand, don’t look what I’m doing behind your back.

The Pubbies need to start playing offense and setting the agenda, not playing defense all the time. I agree that the Pipeline and illegals are the first 2 issues they need to tackle (along with continuing investigations of the IRS, Benghazi, etc., etc.).

I think if we had Cruz as our nominee and a well know conservative female VP candidate it would be a winning ticket. We have a lot of talent among the ladies and it needs to be pushed up into leadership,IMHO.

I really like Jindall but there’s the problem of his not being a naturalized citizen. After 0bama I guess few care about that but I believe it would be an issue to damage his eligibility to be president.
