The left changed it to only needing the mother to be a citizen. --
I think Obama's eligibility was found to based on being born in Hawaii, citizenship of parents isn't a relevant factor when a person is born on US soil.

No. I hear what you are saying but I am a firm believer in Taxed Enough Already.
Cut spending.
It's the only way to be sure.

Dang! New picture for above:

The proposal was tongue in cheek. Using his own argument, if low commodity prices are a good time to raise taxes, then high commodity prices are a good time to lower them. But you rarely hear them seriously propose lowering the taxes, and generally, the price of goods is going up.

Thanks. You are correct that they do not use the same “logic” to lower taxes...

It's ELEGIBILITY to become President or VP of the USA.

Senators Corker, Thune were both for increasing the Gas Tax
All of you “conservatives” what are you conserving?
Anybody out here for Limited G’ment - Eliminating all (even some?) of this lovely dictatorial bureaucracy that virtually all of our elected representatives on these shows love so much?

Right. I said "eligibility", which is "natural born citizen." The most common theory (which I happen to disagree with) is that if you are a citizen at birth, then you are a natural born citizen. Being born on US soil confers citizenship, regardless of the citizenship of ones parents (children of diplomats being the only class excluded from the rule).
Not to say that's the only way to be born a US citizen.

There are all sorts of downsides to my tongue in cheek proposal, including gaming of costs and regulations by both the government and the entities that find, extract, and process oil.
Government manipulation of the ethanol market mostly benefited cronies.

If you read the constitution, it’s clearly stated there. No mention of other countries.
0bama’s eligibility was based on his mothers citizenship only. I don’t think other considerations were a factor. For that matter, I’m not sure Hawaii was even a state at that time. I could be wrong on that but I didn’t think so. Regardless, 0bama’s mother dictated his citizenship.
