Preachers claim they are “called.” But I’ve never heard a preacher, especially Huck, explain how he got “un-called” from the ministry. That forces the conclusion that he was always in it for the chicken dinners? My Mom always liked to feed the neighborhood preachers and I learned a lot about people by watching how that played out. I always thot Huck might have broke my Mom if he had a chance.
