While POTUS #42 WJC deserves tarring for that, the big picture includes POTUS #41 GHWB who sent U.S. forces into Somalia in the last month of his presidency after he was defeated in a national election. Clinton honestly inherited that mess and only succeeded in making it worse.
That seems to be a problem with our system — letting RATs take control of armed conflicts.
Just as Clinton screwed up the Somalia operation by pussing out, Obozo screwed up Iraq by pulling out all American troops, and A-stan with his half-assed implementation of only 50% of what the generals recommended for the “surge”, (after a 6-month delay) turning it into a F****d up mess.
