The federal budget is almost certain to be the central battleground between President Obama and the new Republican Congress in 2015.
The GOP has vowed to use control of the House and Senate to slash the size of government, with entitlement programs such as Medicare and Social Security a potential target for cuts.
But Obama has made clear he will use his veto pen against the GOP, forcing Republicans to tread carefully as they seek to avoid government shutdowns and recapture the White House in 2016.
Here are the dates to watch as the conflict unfolds...

With Boehner at the helm? ROFLOL!!
There is no looming budget war with Boehner in charge of the House.
The GOP has vowed to use control of the House and Senate to slash the size of government, with entitlement programs such as Medicare and Social Security a potential target for cuts.
Well let’s HOPE.......
UNLESS the BOSS of the IRS, CIA, FBI, all military components, NSA, and other aggressive agency’s unnamed.. decides..
to pay (certain) federal officials a “visit” to inform them THAT their careers(political and otherwise, family units, reputations, and even their own lives are at risk..
and THEY are their to protect them from all that.... (( OR NOT ))..
YOU Know...... just a friendly visit.. to “encourage them”..
Not that this sort of thing hasn’t happened before.. MANY TIMES..... in world history..

Horse Hockey. Nothing will change, SSDD.
War? That means Obama must have an enemy.
The GOP have not fought Obama, they have enabled him.
The GOP will put on a Kabuki Dance or two.
They will say you can’t do anything with 2/3rds of Government
And then roll over or bend over.
What War? When was the last time the GOP cut the budget? How is the national debt working out while they have been in charge of the spending?
I'm surprised that Boehner hasn't already surrendered. He's a bigger surrender monkey than the French!

It's a deal, John. You give me everything I want, everything.
It’ll hold as much drama as Hitler conquering France.
Sequester?
We all know how this ends.
They all agree to cut military spending (for real) and push all other cuts into the future—which means they never happen. Policy does not change.
Wash, rinse and repeat.
That is a cut on future spending; spending[budget] has gone up.
Ah...everything will take effect January 2017.
