Freaky how the interests of the Tea Party and OWS have come into such close alignment on this, eh?

The GOPe has decided right leaning, conservative American’s are of no use to them any longer...they are trying to purge us out of the party and replace with illegals.

Except that the Occupy people are still basically Communist b*stards trying to cut our throats, yeah.

Remember, it ain't what they say or do, it's what their program is, that counts.

Not really — the TEA Party is about reducing onerous taxation and, because taxation has become so intertwined with the bureaucratic arm, the reduction/elimination of bureaucracies. These bureaucracies are often very corrupt, having little to do with their stated mission (the FDA for example, erects barriers to real medical advances and does little to ensure the safety of the consumer) and often use that power to enact (a) regulations [often for the purpose of generating revenue via 'fines], or (b)licensing schemes [a license acts as a bar to entry into a field; this is often pushed by "big business" entrenched in the field].

The Occupy Wall Street, on the other hand were concerned about corruption and power-wielding in big corporations.

Both segments are fundamentally right: the government is corrupt and sells its power, the big businesses are corrupt and buy that power [often in the form of laws or regulations] in order to accomplish their tasks. — Both government and "big business" need to be cut down to size and forced to respect the law.

It's why I think it's stupid to just dismiss out-of-hand people from the other side (democrats, liberals, etc), as we could easily show how the big businesses corruption and the government corruption go hand-in-hand; their concerns in this area of power/corruption come from a sense of wanting justice, just like the TEA Party — it would be better to find common [good] ground to stand on than to further divide ourselves [the citizens].
