Man Tries to Run Down Police; They Shoot, Kill Him in Pennsylvania

A man who had posted an online video threatening to kill police and FBI agents tried to use his car to run down officers seeking to arrest him on Tuesday so, fearing for their lives, they shot and killed him, authorities said.
Police did not immediately identify the man, who was killed in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, as officers ordered him out of the car and he appeared ready to accelerate at them as they manned a blockade.

You’re not unarmed when you’re driving a car. What was that other pole-lease shooting incident? The police recovered a weapon the perp pointed at them but several witnesses said he was holding a ham sandwich in his hand.

strange. there was a police blockade on the north bound city line ave just above drexleline shopping center on sunday morning around 10:30. if i was going north instead of south i might have had a few choice words about the police. actually i did, but only the gf heard anything i said. gone by 4:00 after church was over.

It probably never happens anymore. But there was a time when cops on patrol would have quick access to a pistol of anonymous provenance — and place it on or near the dead suspect.
Made everything more tidy for them.
