26 B-24’s dropped delayed fuse 500 pound bombs on the airfields in the 29th at IWO JIMA.
It looks like a change of strategy for the IWO airfields. Delayed fuse bombs this time. Still wondering why 50 B29’s didn’t get the job done.
Any bomb experts here?
