My Bible, in Luke 2, says merely that “magi from the east” came to Jerusalem seeking Jesus. It doesn’t give their names, describe their skin color or say how many there were.

Only by "tradition" did the Magi even get named.

Supposedly they were astrologers.

Not necessarily "kings".
