Still unable to get to your link (Keep getting a 404) ... Flight sounds like all electronics were disabled simultaneously according to early reports. That must have been some lightening strike ... but am speculating.

Also am sifting through conflicting reports of radar (plane missing) verses time reported missing ... Am seeing some backtracking on the earlier reports verses time-line ... One hour and thirty plus minutes is being conflicted and disputed in the reports ... Guess Malaysia will get the final say. Probable later time will be given as final of 7:45 or later as time missing.
