I don’t think it’s anything suspicious. That weather system appears to have been a fast-moving one and they may not have known how bad it would be. Maybe thought they’d be able to miss it.

The Int. Spectator @INTLSpectator 5m5 minutes ago BREAKING: SINGAPOREAN AVIATION OFFICIAL SAYS #QZ8501 'ALMOST CERTAINLY' CRASHED OFF BELITUNG ISLAND. Yeah Im all into conspiracies but this one looks like bad weather caused this crash, that is why the pilot wanted to re-route the plane..bad weather all around
