A recent study noted that the higher your IQ the more self deceptive you are(not me). Learned a long time ago that if they have a PhD by their name, ignore them. Also, once you have established your world view(usually by your med 20’s, you reject any thing that doesn't support it, and let anything in that does.

I have found that once you get old enough to figure out that no one gives a hoot about your world view, you become much more open minded.
