I work nearby, therefore I can attest to the ethnicity of the demanding shoppers..
I only go to WalMart* when I absolutely have to buy it there. Shoppers I see roaming around are buying by instinct and habit, not comparison shopping. I'm sure a few take a five-finger discount because the price ain't that great on some of the items. Anyway, all items in WalMart* are not the lowest to be found, but some still are.
As I enter I like to observe the big (and I mean BIG) Meth mommas fighting over the half-charged scooters. And the various tatoos they unmodestly flash as they attempt to mount them are gross. Some have the whole US Naval fleet tatooed on their chest, legs, arms, and other places. Almost all have at least one black child in tow. (can't call them racists)
After finding a basket that has 4 round wheels, I get what I came for and get out as quickly as the crowd and the number of available checkers will allow. I never go on a pay day as the place is a zoo, everything has been stripped from the shelves, and the floors littered with merchandise and trash. After the experience, I ask myself if it was worth it to save 10 cents on some store brand item. Each time I vow to never go back, but I do. The thrill of saving a buck drives me.
I could go on, but I have to say the Internet pictorial of WalMart* customers does not do justice compared to a live encounter with them. They're gone outside of ethnic boundaries in into Twilight Zone. Happy shopping...and don't forget the after Christmas sales.
P.S. I think if you can wait a few days, all those Christmas toys they bought for the kids and other returned merchandise will be for sale at huge discounts.
