Many Conservatives Were Happy to Watch Republicans Grill Obamacare Architect

Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette didn’t think much of the people and we all know what happened. I fear that it will happen again.

I’ve said this many times. We should have had peaceful secession, letting people live where their politics and morals had mattered. That time is past. I then thought we would have another Revolution, overthrowing the abuses. Alas, that time has past too. Not enough people willing to take action.

I fear a French-style revolution because by the time people are hungry enough or desperate enough or angry enough, it will be an unstoppable force. The innocent as well as the guilty will be punished. Anger will replace rational thought; morality and freedom suffer.

I pray it won’t happen; but man is obstinate in his refusal to head the lessons of history.
