Man-made global warming is saving the Earth from “another ice age,” White House Science Advisor Eric Holdren says in a new video promoting man-made global warming theory:
“We know beyond any reasonable doubt that humans are the main cause of the warming of the earth’s climate that has been measured over the past few decades. The warming is unequivocal.
“While the climate of the earth has changed over the millennia as a result of natural factors – principally changes in the tilt and orientation of the earth’s axis and rotation, and in the shape of its orbit around the sun – those changes occur far too gradually to have noticeable effects over a period of mere decades. In their current phases, moreover, they would be gradually cooling the earth – taking us to another ice age – if they weren’t being more than offset by human-caused warming.”

He is not a lunatic, but an honest enemy of capitalism. Holdren's degree was in plasma physics but his mentor was a left-wing environmentalist. He never did any physics and was hired to head the first U.C. Berkeley Group dedicated to energy and the environment. The group that chose him did not know the extent of his commitment to Marxism. While heading the new group, and initially an associate professor, Holdren wrote for America's leading Marxist journal, Ramparts, based in Berkeley, of which David Horowitz was a senior editor.
For his whole career he has promoted strategies to weaken capitalism, never having done any science, experimental or theoretical. He is a community activist. His writing, including the textbook with Paul Ehrlich and Ehrlich's wife, reflects the far left fringe. He and Ehrlich, in his textbook, promote the likely need to sterilize women to reduce the population to "sustainable" levels. He organized for the California groups that succeeded in shutting down a completed nuclear power plant. He was finally hired away from Berkeley, though "hired" is probably a euphemism for his having been transferred among the power centers of the organized left, to Harvard, the Kennedy School Chair paid for by Theresa Kerry, whose dead husband would be turning in his grave.
Everything Holdren says about science, and about most everything else, must be filtered by his four decades of participation with the Communist Elite. No one has illuminated the penetration by utopian Marxists of both our educational institutions and government agencies as M Stanton Evans and his acolyte, Diana West. Start with Ms. West's "American Betrayal"; she will lead you into, and thoroughly document the amazing penetration of the Departments of State, Treasury, and Defense, along with FDR's closest advisers. Evans' "Blacklisted By History" opens of the FBI files concealed by Truman, among others, and his "Stalin's Secret Agents" documents dozens of the other agents whose roles were covered by government managers who chose to participate in the cover-up rather than expose their failures to protect us from people whose behaviors were suspicious. Today's Marxists appear to be acting enablers of the Muslim Brotherhood, perhaps planning with Russia to pick up the pieces when it is propitious to eliminate the several Islamic states. The left is still very powerful, and much better organized than those committed to our Constitution.
Thank you for the update. However, I have to reinsist that Holdren is a lunatic. How else to explain his rants about Islam inventing everything?
Holdren has a commitment to "change we can believe in", but is by no means ignorant. He is a master at providing misdirection that will never put him the position of having to admit an error. Muslims did not exist when "math, physics, etc. etc." were initiated. Islam is a sect constructed in the late seventh century upon a foundation of Old Testament texts to lend it liturgical authority. There is no record of Mohammed in the written history of the Middle East until early in the 8th Century, almost one hundred years after Mohammed presumably existed. Mohammed, an illiterate gangster succeeded as a terrorist, stealing the productivity from workers and using terror to extract tribute for as long as their victims survived. That is what the word "Islam" means - subjugation.
Holdren's objective, assuming his past associations are predictive, is to weaken the U.S. enough to allow the left to permanently transform the U.S. into the Socialist/Communist nation reflecting his utopian idealism, shared by Obama, Ayers, Kerry, Podesta, Soros, ...
