Man-made global warming is saving the Earth from “another ice age,” White House Science Advisor Eric Holdren says in a new video promoting man-made global warming theory:
“We know beyond any reasonable doubt that humans are the main cause of the warming of the earth’s climate that has been measured over the past few decades. The warming is unequivocal.
“While the climate of the earth has changed over the millennia as a result of natural factors – principally changes in the tilt and orientation of the earth’s axis and rotation, and in the shape of its orbit around the sun – those changes occur far too gradually to have noticeable effects over a period of mere decades. In their current phases, moreover, they would be gradually cooling the earth – taking us to another ice age – if they weren’t being more than offset by human-caused warming.”

“I have a theory. If everything was put here by God, then fossil fuels were also a creation of our lord.
Our lord is a bright fellow and he knew the heaven and earth would be affected by the sun. So he put in a thermostat to monitor what is happening to the earth and how to regulate it.
Thee more fossil fuel we burn, the warmer it gets. The less fossil fuel we burn, the colder it gets. Since this whole “climate change” debate, we have been going green and the earth is cooling. In reality, it’s the liberals who are the screeching alarm telling us something is wrong.
That’s why god made liberals. To remind us that we need to correct. But that isn’t the libs job. Their job is to screech and let the responsible adults take over.
So, now that the earth is cooling, we once again must burn more fossil fuel to create the balance. If we continue on the path the liberals have set for us, the tipping point isnt that we are going to burn up, but in fact we will freeze. And at that point, there isn’t anything we can do.
Rather than hit the alarm and go back to bed, we need to get up, take a stand and fix what is broken, which happens to be our cuckoo clocks.”

The ego here is so massive.
Humans can have an effect upon the total planet climate as much as when ants build up the entrance of their anthill when they know rain is coming. Never seems to work out for the ants once a single rain drop destroys all the piling up effort of grains of sand.
Since “climate change” covers all possibilities, then you should be okay if you have “climate change” insurance.
I remember back in the 70's, watching a panic special on TV about the looming ice age. We were losing thousands of acres of arable land every year. Except; my Sister's husband's family farmed Durham on North Dakota's northern border. Their farming practice and season had not changed for three generations. Their only changes were toward modernization and larger farms. Today, the youngest son is still farming there. After 35 years, his farm is much larger due to more modern equipment, better seed and more diversity of crops. The one thing that hasn't changed is harvest time. It still prevents him from coming North during our short moose hunting season.
The one thing these predictions all gave in common is DOOM.We are all DOOMED, unless we do as the overlords instruct us. Turn out all the lights, no wait, turn on more lights, turn up the thermostat, or is that turn it down? I don't even know any more.
I just know we are having a good winter here in the Interior. Maybe that's Global warming, or not. I remember the winter of '88-'89. It was like this until late January. We thought, wrongly, that we had it made. It suddenly dropped to -60 degrees , with a low of near -70.
In my 66 years on this Earth I have learned one thing, maybe two. Don't try to predict the weather and totally ignore "EXPERTS" whose livelihood depends on scaring the populace.

There is no way we could have another ice age without raising the average temperature of the oceans by at least ten degrees. What is going to do that?
The cooling we have experienced for the last 80 years is normal and cyclical.
I was including that and related effects in my comment about deforestation, which was done precisely to clear land for farming.
Dr. Hugh Ross has been all over this (among many other things).

Actually I think we have a shot. The tragedy is that the environuts refuse to see the beauty of it. :-)
An ice age would be a disaster beyond anything seen historically.
The ridiculous thing (from an objective standpoint) is the utter refusal to see *any* benefit, anywhere, from slightly increased temperatures.
Sorry. It’s mathematically impossible for man to be outputting sufficient gases to affect the balance.
The loonies talk about millions of tons of CO2 as if that is a significant number. It’s not. Not by any stretch. It’s not much more than my raising the level of a full bathtub by spitting into it.
I could dig up the exact numbers later, I’m enjoying a beer at the moment, which takes precedence.
I'm with you there. It would change everything the world over by an order of magnitude. I suspect we couldn't keep it from coming on if the entirety of mankind worked as one to stop it.
