Historians: Family Ties Both Help and Hurt Jeb Bush
NewsMax ^ | December 23 2014 | John Gizzi

Less than a week after Jeb Bush announced that he was "seriously exploring" a bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, there is disagreement over whether being the son and brother of past presidents will help or hurt his candidacy.

Asked whether Bush's two terms as governor of Florida (1998-2006) were too far removed from the present, veteran Democratic pollster Celinda Lake told a Christian Science Monitor press breakfast that "his problem is more Bush than governor."

Lake's reply is the standard assessment these days from the punditocracy and political scientists about the prospects of a "Bush 45" in the White House. As historian David Pietrusza, author of three much-praised books on presidential election years, told Newsmax: "There were not three Adamses, nor three Harrisons, nor three Roosevelts ever seeking the White House."

"his problem is more Bush than governor."

Maybe for low information voters. But his real problem is not his name, it's his liberal stands on issues like immigration.

His being a Bush helps him tactically in having a nationwide base of contributors and party supporters.

The sub for Laura Ingraham this morning had an interesting guest who said Jeb was the political mentor of Marco Rubio in Florida. Rubio even checked with Jeb before running for Senate, to make Jeb wasn't.

Sounds like Rubio won't run if Jeb does.

They are bound and determined that another Bush will finish making America a police state for international corporations.

I’ll be printing up some “Weeaboo 2016” bumper stickers later this afternoon.

How do his family ties hurt him?

He’s a wealthy, privileged member of the ruling class.

What more does he want?

Would GW win an election today? Anyway, Jeb is not voteworthy because of Jeb. I am liking Cruz at this point.

I'd take it!

Jeb is hurt by his policy stands, not by his name.

Be sure that is “Weeaboo Bush”. But who is his running mate?

You have to believe that the Bush family are not that smart. They are the tools and rather dull tools at that to want to be President or any other part of what America's government is today. We, AMERICA, need to find those in control and expose the despots who give the Bush family and the other government tools their marching orders.
Illuminati, Bilderbergers, CFR, Trilateral Commission, Rothchild, Euro monarchs..... WHO THE HELL is it!!

Is this our fate? To be ruled by these cowardly monsters hidden in the shadows and their moronic public tools?

Well, the 22nd Amendment only applies to the office of the President, so the logical pairing for Weaboo would be Slo' Joe.

Jeb/Hillary - Uniparty 2016

Weaboo/Joe - Unitard Party 2016.

I was going to try to recruit Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Boy but two things disqualify him:

1) He was born in Russia
2) He is dead.

I’m open for suggestions.
