Wouldn’t put too much thought into this... The police are unioned, after all, and if the bosses tell the rank and file to get back in line behind the good liberal, they will do so with a snappy goose step.
Just like telling the unioned coal miners to vote for the guy that will put them out of work. In the end, the union drones will be told how to feel.
Did you miss the stories about how it was the NYPD union that said (before these killings) that they did not want deBlasio to attend cop funerals when the inevitable cop killings took place?
Bratton is the one goose-stepping now, but at this point I don’t see what actually viable alternative he has unless his goal is to see the city blow up.
